About this bottle
The Fighting 69th Single Malt Irish Whiskey takes its name from the New York infantry regiment whose Irish-American ranks earned the nickname on Civil War battlefields. What is in the bottle is a straightforward Irish single malt, made entirely from malted barley in pot stills and matured in oak, which is the style that gives Irish malt its lightness of touch. The nose is orchard fruit, honey and soft malt; the palate runs apple, pear and vanilla with malted cereal underneath; the finish is clean and gently sweet rather than smoky. Drink it neat, or build it into a tall whiskey highball with soda and lemon.
