The Glendronach Sherry Cask Matured 12 year 700ml

The GlenDronach 12 Year is the Highland distillery's sherry-cask cornerstone, matured a full twelve years in a combination of Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso casks before bottling at 43%. GlenDronach has leaned on sherry wood since 1826, and the house style is unmistakable in the glass: the nose opens on raisin, brown sugar and a little orange oil, the palate is thick with dried fruit, dark chocolate and toasted almond, and the finish carries soft oak spice under lingering sweetness. It is the bottle to reach for when someone says they do not like scotch and means they do not like smoke. Neat, no water needed.
