The Glenlivet 15 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch aged in a combination of American and European oak casks, sitting between the 14 Year and the older 18 and 21 Year expressions in the core range. The Glenlivet has anchored much of what people expect from Speyside malt since founder George Smith took out the first legal distilling license in the parish in 1824. Expect dried fruit, toffee, and a touch of spice on the nose, a smooth, complex palate carrying the same notes through, and a clean, moderately long finish. A dependable mid-tier Speyside malt for building out a whisky collection.
