About this bottle

The King's Ginger is a ginger liqueur that Berry Bros. & Rudd first made in 1903 for King Edward VII, whose physician wanted something to warm the monarch up in his open-top motor car. It is built on macerated ginger root with lemon oil over a neutral grain base, bottled at 41%. The nose is candied ginger and citrus peel; the palate is thick and warming, with honey, root spice and a bright lemon lift that keeps it from turning syrupy; the finish is long and peppery. Drink it cold and neat on a winter afternoon, stir it into hot tea, or top it with ginger ale and lime.
