The Macallan Double Cask 15 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned American and European oak, the pairing that gives the Double Cask range its name. American oak carries the vanilla and lighter caramel notes; European oak brings the deeper spice and dried fruit. Together they build toward butterscotch, baked apple, and cinnamon, with a medium finish of lingering oak. Bottled at 43% ABV, 86 proof, from the Macallan distillery in Speyside.
