The Whiskey Lab Tri Carragh Dalrymple 10 year

The Whiskey Lab Tri Carragh Dalrymple 10 Year is an independent bottling of Scotch single malt, released under a house name rather than the distillery's own, which is a common arrangement when a producer sells casks but not the right to use its label. Ten years is enough time for oak to round the spirit without burying it. The nose is malt, honey and dried apple; the palate is vanilla, orchard fruit, toasted cereal and light oak spice; the finish is medium, clean and gently sweet. An unfussy single malt for regular drinking rather than a special occasion. Serve it neat, or over one large cube.
