This is a private barrel selection of Russell's Reserve Single Barrel, carrying the barrel code S3B20 on the label. Russell's Reserve is the Wild Turkey family's line under Jimmy and Eddie Russell in Lawrenceburg, and the single barrel program pulls individual casks from the warehouse floors rather than batching them into a house average — so a barrel pick like this one exists in a couple of hundred bottles and then it is gone. Vanilla, dark caramel and toasted oak on the nose; brown sugar and baking spice with dried orange behind on the palate; a long, dry, oak-driven finish. Neat first, then one large cube.
