Umano Saperavi Red Dry Wine 750ml

Umano Saperavi is the dry red expression of Georgia's most important grape, grown in the eastern Kakheti region where nearly all Saperavi originates. The variety is a teinturier, carrying red pulp as well as red skin, which is why the wine pours nearly opaque and stains the glass. The nose gives black cherry, plum and a touch of dried herb. The palate is dry and medium-to-full, with blackcurrant, cocoa and a spine of acidity that keeps everything fresh, and the tannins arrive dusty on a savory finish. Serve at cool room temperature alongside grilled lamb, braised beef, or a walnut-heavy Georgian spread.
