Virginia Distillery Co. Single Barrel Port Cask Finished, Barrel No. 2205, is a cask-strength American single malt finished in port casks after its base maturation. As a single barrel, cask-strength release, the exact proof is specific to this barrel rather than a standard house number — the line's other cask-strength single barrels have run anywhere from roughly 59% to 61% ABV. The port finish brings dark fruit and wine-like richness on top of the whisky's malt base. Single barrel means this exact bottle won't repeat. Start it neat, then add water in small increments.
