About this bottle

Volcán de mi Tierra Cristalino Añejo is a collaboration tied to Jose Cuervo's parent company, blending agave from both the Los Altos highlands and the lowlands around the Tequila volcano. As a cristalino, it starts as a fully aged añejo — rested at least a year in oak — then gets charcoal-filtered to strip the color back to crystal clear while keeping most of the barrel-derived flavor. The result is aged tequila that looks like a blanco: cooked agave and vanilla on the nose, caramel and light oak spice on the palate, and a smoother, less woody finish than a standard añejo. A good entry point for drinkers curious about aged tequila who aren't ready for a dark, heavy pour.

How to drink Volcán de mi Tierra Cristalino Añejo

Serve it chilled and neat in a rocks glass — the whole point of a cristalino is barrel flavor without the visual weight, so don't bury it in a big cocktail.
