The Danville, Kentucky distillery built its reputation on sweet mash fermentation and a low barrel entry proof, and both show up in a rye that leans fruity and rounded rather than sharp. The nose is mint and orchard fruit, the palate brings rye pepper, honey and a soft vanilla sweetness, and the finish dries out on oak and dill. It has enough body to sit up to ice without going thin.
