Wildrye Boss Tweed Old Tom Gin 750ml

Boss Tweed is WildRye Distilling's Old Tom, the older, lightly sweetened style of gin that sat between genever and London dry and then largely vanished for a century. Sweetness here is a matter of a degree of roundness rather than syrup, just enough to soften the juniper and let the citrus and root spice sit forward. The nose is piney and warm, the palate carries juniper, coriander and a candied orange note, and the finish is short, gently sweet and clean. This is the style the earliest cocktail books were written around. Use it in a Martinez or a Tom Collins.
