WildRye Whiskey Distilled from Rye Mash 750ml

This is WildRye Distilling's whiskey distilled from a rye mash, a legal designation meaning the grain bill is majority rye but the whiskey has not met the requirements for a straight rye, usually because of how or how long it was barrelled. What lands in the glass is bright and cereal-driven: green herbs and black pepper on the nose, then rye spice, honeyed grain and a little orchard fruit through the middle, finishing dry with a peppery snap. It is a lively, unpolished style of rye rather than a mellow one. Drink it neat in a small pour, or let it cut through a Manhattan.
