Willie's Distillery makes this moonshine in Ennis, Montana, a small town on the Madison River, and it is the unaged corn spirit that American whiskey grew out of. With no barrel to hide behind, everything in the glass comes from the grain and the still: sweet corn and a faint bread-dough note on the nose, a soft, slightly oily palate with cereal sweetness and a clean bite, and a short warm finish.
