Yo Shi Matcha Liqueur 750ml

Yo Shi Matcha is a liqueur built around Japanese green tea, using matcha's whole ground leaf rather than a steeped infusion, which is why the colour is so vivid and the flavour so direct. It sits in the sweet-but-savoury corner of the liqueur shelf, closer to a dessert tea than to a fruit cordial. The nose is grassy and fresh, with steamed greens, toasted nut and a little sugar; the palate is creamy and moderately sweet, carrying green tea, vanilla and the faint pleasant bitterness matcha always brings; the finish is clean and slightly drying. Serve it very cold in a small glass, over ice with soda, or shaken with lemon.
