About this bottle
Skorpios 1618 Blanco Tahona is a 100% agave tequila made in Amatitán, Jalisco, using the tahona method — crushing cooked agave with a stone wheel rather than modern roller mills, a slower process meant to preserve more of the plant's natural fiber and juice. The agave is roasted in brick ovens, fermented in the open air, and double-distilled in copper pots before bottling unaged at 42% ABV (84 proof). The result is a blanco with more weight and earthiness than a mixto or mass-produced silver tequila — vegetal, mineral, and agave-forward rather than clean and neutral. Built for sipping, not just shots.
How to drink Skorpios 1618 Blanco Tahona
Try it neat or with a single large ice cube first — the tahona process gives it enough character to stand on its own before it ever sees a mixer.

Questions about this bottle
How should this tequila be served?
Neat or with a single large ice cube to start — the tahona process gives it enough depth to taste on its own before reaching for a mixer.
What makes the tahona method different?
Agave is crushed with a traditional stone wheel instead of modern roller mills, which preserves more fiber and juice and gives the tequila extra weight and earthiness.
Is this a 100% agave tequila?
Yes — it's made entirely from blue agave with no neutral spirit added, sourced from single-estate agave aged a minimum of 7-10 years before harvest.
