About this bottle
Louis XIII is Rémy Martin's flagship Cognac, a blend of up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie drawn exclusively from Grande Champagne, the most prized cru in the region, with some components resting in French oak tiercons for up to a century. This 1.75L magnum carries the same blend as the standard decanter, scaled up and presented in its own case for display or a special occasion. Expect a famously layered pour — dried rose, honey, and myrrh on the nose giving way to fig, leather, and spice — with a finish the maison says can last close to an hour. It's built for slow, deliberate sipping, not casual pouring.
How to drink Louis XIII Magnum
Pour it neat into a wide snifter or the brand's tulip glass at cellar temperature and take your time — this is a Cognac meant to be nosed and re-nosed over an hour, not rushed. Never add ice or a mixer.

Questions about this bottle
Why is Louis XIII Cognac aged up to 100 years?
Louis XIII blends as many as 1,200 individual eaux-de-vie, some aged a century in Rémy Martin's cellars, all sourced exclusively from Grande Champagne, Cognac's most prized cru.
What's the best way to serve Louis XIII Cognac?
Serve it neat at room temperature in a wide snifter; ice or mixers would flatten the aromatic layers built up over decades of aging.
What's distinctive about the Louis XIII bottle?
The decanter is hand-blown crystal made by Baccarat, based on a flask design found on a Napoleonic battlefield — the magnum carries the same blend at 1.75L.
