About this bottle
Campo Viejo is one of Rioja's largest and most widely distributed wineries, and this rosé is made primarily from Garnacha (Grenache) and Tempranillo grapes using the direct-press method, which pulls color and flavor from the skins briefly rather than through extended maceration, keeping the wine pale and crisp rather than deeply pink or sweet. Rioja rosé, called rosado locally, tends to run drier and more food-friendly than a lot of New World pink wines. Expect strawberry and red currant fruit with real acidity and a dry finish, built as an easy warm-weather wine rather than a dessert-adjacent blush.
How to drink Campo Viejo Rosé
Serve it well chilled, around 45-50°F, straight from the fridge. It pairs especially well with tapas, grilled shrimp, or a simple salad.
