Buffalo Trace Trace The Stars (Single Barrel) 1.75L

Trace The Stars is a single-barrel selection of Buffalo Trace's Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled here in a full 1.75 litres — an unusual size for a barrel pick, and a generous one. Buffalo Trace bottles its flagship at 90 proof from an undisclosed low-rye recipe, but every barrel carries the fingerprint of where it aged, so a pick like this leans a little further in one direction than the standard batch does. Expect caramel and vanilla on the nose; toffee, dark cherry, mint and oak spice on the palate; and a medium, gently drying finish. Neat first, then over one large cube.
