The Aquilini Red Mountain Family Blend is a Bordeaux-style blend made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Each of these varietals contributes unique flavours and complexity to the wine. The wine is medium-bodied with layers of dark red fruit and spice, backed up by firm yet well integrated tannins that offer a lengthy finish. The bottle will also come with a talking point - the Aquilini family behind the estate has been farming the same land for four generations, dating back to David's great-grandfather who purchased the land in 1908. Enjoy this wine now or cellar it for five to ten years to further its complexity.
