Azulejos Trophy Head Anejo Bottle Number Two is an aged tequila in a purple hand-decorated ceramic bottle shaped as a mounted trophy head, one of the more sculptural pieces in the range. Anejo requires at least twelve months in oak barrels, and that year is what trades the green pepper of young agave for depth and color. Expect cooked agave, vanilla and dried fig on the nose, a palate of caramel, toasted oak and warm baking spice, and a long finish that lands softly sweet. Bottles like this are bought to be displayed as much as poured. Serve it neat at room temperature in a small glass.
