About this bottle
Castle & Key's wheated bourbon at seven years and full cask strength, from the restored distillery on Glenn's Creek outside Frankfort. Wheat as the secondary grain trades the pepper of rye for a rounder, softer sweetness, and bottling without dilution keeps every bit of it. The nose is caramel, vanilla and toasted oak with a soft bakery note; the palate is thick and sweet, with brown sugar, cherry, cinnamon and a firm oak spine; the finish is long, hot and drying. Seven Kentucky summers show in the wood. Drink it neat with a few drops of water, or over one large cube.
