Cht D'esclans Rock Angel Rose 1.5L

Rock Angel is the step up from Whispering Angel at Chateau d'Esclans, the Provence estate that did more than any other to make dry rose a serious wine rather than a summer afterthought. It is a Cotes de Provence rose built largely on Grenache with Vermentino alongside, made in a fuller and more textural style than the entry bottling. Pale copper-pink in the glass, it opens with white peach, strawberry and a little crushed stone, then turns dry and broad on the palate with citrus pith and a saline finish that runs longer than most rose manages. This magnum holds two bottles, which is the right size for a table. Serve it cool with grilled fish.
