Like most Canadian whisky, it's a blend of separately distilled and aged base and flavoring whiskies married together before bottling, here matured in a mix of new and once-used oak. The extra age over the standard Crown Royal shows in a fuller body, with baking spice and dark fruit joining the usual caramel and vanilla. It's built to be smooth and approachable rather than assertive, which is the house style Crown Royal is known for.
How to drink Crown Royal Reserve 12 Year
