Cutwater Mezcal Joven 750ml

Cutwater Mezcal Joven is an unaged agave spirit bottled by the San Diego distillery, sourced from Mexico and left clear so the roasted agave character leads. Joven means young: no barrel time, nothing rounding off the smoke. The nose is earthy and smoky, with roasted agave, wet stone and a green vegetal lift. The palate is bright and peppery, sweet cooked agave running against ash, citrus peel and a mineral edge. The finish is dry, smoky and medium in length. Sip it neat alongside orange and sal de gusano, or use it to give a margarita or a paloma some smoke.
