About this bottle
Gran Patrón Piedra is an extra añejo tequila made the slow way: 100% Blue Weber agave from the Jalisco Highlands, crushed under a volcanic tahona stone — a method almost no distillery still runs at scale. Patrón ages the tequila four years in French Limousin and new American oak, and the barrels show in a deep mahogany pour. The nose reads toasted coconut, sweet potato, and dried apple; the palate turns to vanilla, caramel, and nutmeg over an earthy agave core. Piedra means stone, and the bottle itself is shaped after the tahona. Reserve this one for slow sipping from a snifter — it belongs in the same conversation as well-aged cognac.
