Impérial Cartron is the Burgundy house's top orange liqueur, blending bitter and sweet orange peels in a triple sec style that runs drier than most of the category. The peels are macerated and distilled rather than flavoured in, so what comes through is oil and zest instead of marmalade. The nose is bright orange peel with a floral edge; the palate is clean and citrus-forward with a bitter twist through the middle; the finish is dry, warm and lightly spiced.
