La Luna Paradas X Patria 750 ML

La Luna Paradas x Patria is a collaboration bottling from La Luna Mezcal, the Michoacán producer that works with small family palenques rather than one large distillery. Michoacán mezcal has its own accent — usually rounder and more floral than Oaxaca, with the smoke dialled well back. Expect roasted agave, wet clay and citrus blossom on the nose, a palate of cooked agave sweetness, green herbs, black pepper and a soft mineral edge, and a long, dry finish carrying just a thread of smoke. It is made for sipping and does not need help. Serve it neat at room temperature in a copita and take it slowly.
