Maat Soju Lychee is a flavoured soju, the clear low-proof Korean-style spirit, infused with lychee, a fruit that suits the category well because it is aromatic without ever being heavy. The nose is perfumed lychee and rose petal; the palate is light and softly sweet, with the fruit carried on a clean neutral base and very little alcoholic heat behind it; the finish is short, floral and clean. The 375ml bottle is the standard sharing format. Pour it cold into small glasses with spicy food, or lengthen it with soda water over ice for a long drink that stays easy through a whole evening.
