Perro Verde Espadin 375ml

Perro Verde Espadin is an Oaxacan mezcal made from espadin, the cultivated agave that anchors the category and the one that shows a producer's hand most clearly. The agave is roasted, crushed, fermented and distilled, and nothing is added afterwards to soften it. The nose is campfire smoke over cooked agave and citrus peel, the palate is bright and slightly oily with green herbs, lime, white pepper and a mineral edge, and the finish is dry, smoky and long. The half bottle is the right size for working out where you sit with mezcal. Sip it neat and small, or stir it into a smoky negroni.
