Perro Verde Tobasiche 375ml

Perro Verde Tobasiche is an Oaxacan mezcal made from tobasiche, one of the karwinskii agaves that grow tall on a woody trunk and take years longer to mature than espadin. That extra time in the field shows up in the glass as a leaner, more herbal spirit, with less of the sugar sweetness espadin brings and more structure underneath. The nose is wood smoke, wet stone and green pepper, the palate runs herbal and savoury with celery, citrus pith and a dry mineral core, and the finish is long, peppery and clean. Drink it neat at room temperature in a copita, with nothing in the way.
