Pochteca Hibiscus liquor 750ml

Pochteca Hibiscus is a jamaica liqueur, made from the dried hibiscus flower that Mexican kitchens steep into agua de jamaica by the jugful. The flower is naturally tart, so the liqueur keeps an acidic backbone underneath the sugar instead of turning into syrup, and the colour it lends a drink is worth the bottle on its own. The nose is dried hibiscus and cranberry, the palate is tart and floral with red fruit, rose petal and a citrus lift, and the finish is crisp and clean rather than sticky. Build it with soda over plenty of ice, add it to sparkling wine, or use it to redraw a paloma.
