Qixo Mezcal Cupreata 750ml

Qixo Mezcal Cupreata is made from agave cupreata, a wild-growing agave with thick, coppery leaves that takes well over a decade to mature and cannot be farmed on the same schedule as espadín. Cupreata mezcals tend to be fruitier and greener than the espadín everyone starts with, and this one follows that pattern. The nose is wood smoke, wet earth and green banana, the palate brings roasted agave and tropical fruit with a herbal, almost minty streak, and the finish is long and smoky with pepper and damp stone. Sip it at room temperature from a copita, with orange and sal de gusano on the side.
