Redemption High Rye Bourbon is a straight bourbon distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and bottled at 92 proof. The house built its name on rye-forward whiskey, and this bottling pushes rye to the edge of what a bourbon mash bill allows, so the grain does most of the talking. The nose leads with baking spice, orange peel and vanilla; the palate is dry and peppery, with caramel corn underneath and a lick of mint; the finish is medium, dusty and warm rather than sweet.
