Roots Diktamo is a Greek herbal liqueur built around dittany of Crete, a wild mountain herb that Cretans have brewed as a tea for centuries and treated as a household remedy for almost as long. Roots works from traditional Greek recipes across its range, and the herb itself, rather than sugar, sets the tone here. The nose is oregano, wild thyme and honey; the palate is herbal and gently sweet, with mint, chamomile and a bitter edge running through it; the finish is dry and cooling.
