Select Club Peanut Butter and Banana is a flavoured whisky, built on a light, easy-drinking whisky base and pointed squarely at the dessert end of the shelf, which it makes no attempt to disguise. The nose is exactly what the label promises: roasted peanut, ripe banana and brown sugar. The palate is sweet and thick, with peanut butter cup, banana bread and a run of vanilla, and just enough whisky underneath to keep it from reading as pure candy. The finish is short and sweet. Serve it chilled as a shot, poured over ice, or dropped into cold milk or a stout for a very unserious float.
