Skelly Talavera Head Anejo is an aged tequila presented in a bottle topped with a hand-decorated ceramic head in the Talavera style, a nod to the Mexican pottery tradition of the same name. Anejo means at least a year in oak, and that time turns raw agave sweetness into something rounder and darker without erasing where it came from. The nose is caramel, vanilla and baked agave; the palate is soft and full, with butterscotch, dried fruit, cinnamon and a lingering trace of pepper; the finish is warm, oaky and long. Treat it as a sipping spirit: neat in a small glass, or over one large cube after dinner.
