Solento Organic Tequila Raicilla 375ml

Raicilla is Jalisco's own agave spirit, made in the mountains and along the coast long before the tequila rules were written, and it is a different animal from the tequila that shares the state. Solento's organic bottling is unaged, so the agave arrives raw and unpolished: roasted agave, damp earth and green fruit on the nose, then a herbal, faintly funky palate with cooked pineapple and pepper, and a dry mineral finish carrying a little smoke. If you like mezcal, this is familiar ground with a fruitier accent. Sip it neat at room temperature, or pair a small pour with citrus and salt.
