Don Elias Reposado is the middle ground of the range — blue agave tequila rested in oak for months rather than years, long enough to pick up colour and sweetness while keeping the agave front and centre. It is the expression most people find easiest to drink both ways, neat and mixed. Cooked agave, vanilla and baked apple on the nose; honey, light oak and a soft pepper note through the palate; a medium finish that stays warm and gently sweet. Pour it over a single large cube for slow sipping, or let it carry an old fashioned built with agave nectar instead of sugar.
