Tormaresca Calafuria Rosé 750ml

Calafuria is the rose from Tormaresca, the Puglian estate owned by the Antinori family, and it is built mainly on Negroamaro, the dark southern Italian grape that gives the wine its pale copper pink colour when the juice is drawn off the skins early. Fermentation happens cool and in stainless steel, so nothing gets between you and the fruit. The nose is peach and pink grapefruit, the palate runs to wild strawberry and citrus with a saline edge, and the finish stays dry and clean rather than sweet. Serve it properly cold with grilled fish, salumi, or nothing at all on a hot afternoon.
