Unito Mezcal Joven Espadin 700 mL

Unito Joven is a mezcal made from espadin, the cultivated agave behind most of what leaves Mexico under that name, and bottled joven, meaning unaged and straight from the still with nothing between the agave and the glass. Espadin matures faster than the wild varieties and gives a mezcal that is smoky without being punishing, which is why it is the usual starting point for anyone new to the category. Expect roasted agave and woodsmoke on the nose, a palate of green herbs, citrus peel and cooked pineapple, and a warm, mineral finish. Sip it neat from a copita, or use it where a cocktail calls for smoke.
