Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans created the Hurricane in the 1940s and served it in a glass shaped like a hurricane lamp, which customers still take home as a souvenir. The bar's exact recipe is a secret. This version follows the widely accepted approximation built on passion fruit and two rums.

Bottle math, generally
Batching dilution
When you batch, there's no ice melting in a shaker, so you add the water yourself: 18% for spirit-forward drinks, 25% for shaken ones.
