Pink Gin Martini
The Pink Gin Martini is navy-strength gin stirred with Campari and aromatic bitters and served up with a lemon twist. The high-proof gin carries the bitterness easily, and Campari gives the drink its blush color and a bittersweet finish. Strong, pretty and grown-up, it is built for Valentine's Day.

Pink gin, plain gin with a few dashes of Angostura bitters, was a favorite of British Royal Navy officers in the 1800s. The bitters were originally taken as a remedy for seasickness, and the gin made them easier to swallow. This version keeps the bitters and adds Campari for a stronger color and a more modern bitterness.

Batching dilution
When you batch, there's no ice melting in a shaker, so you add the water yourself: 18% for spirit-forward drinks, 25% for shaken ones.
